GATE / GAT-B Admissions 2026–2027

Applications are invited for admission to the following Postgraduate Programmes of Pondicherry University for the academic year 2026–2027 based on valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and Graduate Aptitude Test – Biotechnology (GAT-B) scores, as applicable.

Candidates possessing a valid GATE or GAT-B score in the relevant discipline may apply for admission to the respective programme(s), subject to fulfillment of the prescribed eligibility conditions, reservation policy and other regulations of the University.

Important Instructions

Only candidates possessing a valid GATE/GAT-B score applicable to the respective programme are eligible to apply.
Candidates should carefully verify the prescribed eligibility criteria before submitting the application.
Submission of an application does not automatically entitle a candidate for admission.
The University reserves the right to verify the validity of the score card, educational qualifications and other certificates at any stage of admission.
Admission shall be strictly based on merit, reservation policy and other regulations of Pondicherry University.

The application fee paid for GATE-based programmes, once remitted successfully, shall not be refunded under any circumstances, including ineligibility, submission of multiple applications, incorrect selection of programme(s), or withdrawal of the application.
